    Hi there,
Alfa and Datsun did come together for that build and what a impact it made on some including me. The suspension had been toughened up a little and the brakes were already good at that time but boy did it go!! My last memories were trying to tame my right foot when it came to going quickly wherever I went.

If it was it would have broke the speed records for the 1890's---- don't you mean 1980's?
Was it made as an Arbaath special ( from turin?) They did some very nice sports versions, like the cooper factory did for the mini, good luck. The Fiat owners club might be able to tell you.

Yes, the car was an Alfa Romeo Arna-it was produced for a short run in the early-mid eighties, a sort of tie up between Datsun & Alfa. It was bloody awful, and I speak as an Alfa enthusiast. It had the worst traits of both marques-the temperamental nature of an 80's Alfa and the boring looks of a Datsun! Haven't seen one in years, hopefully they have all been scrapped...

Yes there was such a car sold in the UK, it had the body shape of an N12 Nissan Cherry (only the basic outline though) but it had an Alfa boxer engine and transmission, not sure if the floorpan and suspension were Alfa or Nissan but the inner wings were definitely Alfa. It was badged as the Alfa Arna or Nissan Cherry Europe. It was a load of rubbish from what i remember and very few were sold but i saw more Alfa versions on the road than Nissan ones though.
