Bali... can anyone recommend a nice hotel?

Question

somewhere off the beaten track, and not too touristy.. was thinking about Ubud??
any tips greatly appreciated.

HI Dont stay in UBUD , look at the club bali mirage in nusa dua , it small village with a few good hotels & nice beach & a short taxi ride from kuta
We have stayed there twice and enjoyed it , our friend have been 3 times

Ubud is far from beach! i recommend you to stay at Kuta town...just 5 minutes away from Ngurah Rai International Airport. I stayed at 3 star Jatra Hotel. I recommend Discovery Hotel (5 star), just next to Musro Music Room (club) and very near to shopping complexes, pubs and other necessities...

Kuta has a lot of tourist, but Ubud is far away from beach
I suggest you stay in Jimbaran
try intercontinental resort
or if you want, maybe you wish to stay in a hotel in Padangbay that near candidasa in Karangasem regency
