Is the bahia principe san juan hotel in the dominican republic open?

can any one tell me if the bahia principe san juan hotel is open as iam due to travel there next week but i spoke to someone today who came back from the dominican republic tuesday and told me the hotel was closed? i have heard nothing of my travel agent so am unsure as to what is happning

thanks for that, i no bout the sickness thing cause we are british and tried to change hotels but our tour rep wouldn't let us they never informed us about the fire though really not sure if i still want to go it sounds awful

It is open! They had a problem with a planeload of Brits getting sick and they were closed down for testing but the Brits got sick on the Plane over!

They then had a fire and they closed for repairs but it has been open for a while now although a lot of people changed plans when the Brits took ill!
