How would one go about travelling from Salzburg to Hinterthal, Austria?

I'm travelling there soon. I don't drive so have no idea how I will travel the distance. I could book train tickets but how will I find my way to the train station in Salzburg and from the station to the hotel in Hinterthal if I speak no German?!

The trains usually show their destination on the front. The ticket will show the time the train is due. It's easier than most people think. If there are a lot of American tourists in that area, the ticket people will generally speak some English as well.

have a look on this website
    reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/e
Although its a german website if you just type in where you going from and where to it will tell you times and from where and if you have to change, then get yourself to the train station and ask for a ticket!
In Austria the English is brill and as long as you are polite and try and know how to say please and thank you
    bitta - please
    danker chon - thank you
they will be v helpfull, before you leave get a map of the city you are entering and the address of where you staying and work out how you will get there, see if there is a tram of bus stop near by, even ask the hotel for directions
you will be fine! navagating Austria should not be daunting
