Where to stay in Yosemite National Park?

Question

Me and my girlfriend are going to the US on our holiday on Monday. We have booked hotels in LA,San Fran and Vagas... We are now looking for a hotel to stay at in Yosemite, we are doing the long drive from San Fran to Vagas and thought this would be a good place to take a break.Anybody got any sugestions?
What about leaving it until we get there and just "playing it by ear"

I'd stay away from the hungry bears if you want to remain in one piece!

And if you think Yogi Bear and Boo Boo will be there to save your bacon, if you run into some hungry bears, think again, friend!

Seriously speaking, from the looks of the information you have already put down about your visit to the USA, it looks like you intend to stay in each place for only one day before going to the next, sort of like a whirlwind tour, huh?

Great way to visit the grand old US of A!

Sort of like, here today, gone tomorrow!
