Help from fellow Travel Industry employees please!?

hi there, i need some help. I work in the travel industry and know we can get discounts on hotels and such. for example you can stay in a jury hotel for £25 a night in total.

well im looking to stay in swansea from the 25th august for 2 nights for 2 people, and i cant find anywhere that cheap. The cheapest so far is £105 for both people.

anyone know any hotels in swansea (or companies such as travelodge) who do Travel industry rates and can enlighten me?

Thanks in advance...

when you make contact with the hotels you need to mention that you are after agents rates.then the hotel will quote you agents rates.
look up www.tidd.travel
this is a website for travel industry discounts. you may have to join a yearly membership though, but it helps.
good luck

    Hi Amy
I have found that you are better off to contact the places you are interested in directly (fax on your company letter-head works best) and enquire whether they offer industry rates and if so what is available for the dates you have in mind. Even if you are not able to get industry rates - don't forget to show your work id when checking in as you may well get an upgrade to a better or larger room.
    Good luck!
