What class drug is codeine phosphate?

Does anyone know (IN BRITAIN) what class drug codeine phosphate is?

It is opiod analgesic, a prescription only drug. It is effective for the relief of mild to moderate pain. Also use for diarrhea and cough supression. Normal side effect include nausea n vomiting, constipation and drowsiness. Large dose can cause serious side effects : respiratory depression, hypotension & muscle rigidity. Max dose is 240mg/day oMust be avoided in acute respiratory depression and acute alcoholism.

Its a class B drug, and an offence to possess it without a valid prescription. Its covered under the misuse of drugs act.
