Normal pulse rate for an adult is between 60 to 100 beats per minute resting.

Pulse rate is not the only indicator of the health of your heart. The regularity of the pulse, strength of the pulse, blood pressure, and ekg readings all relate to the health of the heart. Generally, under normal circumstances, the lower the resting rate, the stronger the heart, because it means the heart is pumping so efficiently, that it needs less beats to circulate the same amount of o2. (it also means your blood carries more red blood cells.)

It varies a lot excepted answer is 80-100 a good full pulse is a sign of good circulation and nothing more than that , the more exercise you do the lower the pulse. If it is higher or lower it may be worth having a blood test at your doctors and maybe a cholesterol test as well if you are worried.

This is a difficult one as people have different pulse rates. When I was very fit (ran 45+ miles a week, plus walking, badminton etc.) my resting pulse rate was 32, now I'm 57, and overweight it is about 65.
What a pulse rate shows is how hard your heart is working.

A normal resting pulse rate for an adult your age would be 65 to 75/min. However take into account that there are large individual differences . Superathletic individuals show rates as low as 45/min. The measurement in itself says nothing and has to be taken together with other parameters.

An absolute average would be between 60 and 70 (roughly a beat a second). The fitter you are, the lower it should be, as the heartr doesn't need to pump so much blood because the body is more efficient at extracting oxygen out of it.

For a 39 year old a resting heart rate of 70ish sounds perfectly normal.

normal pulse rate for healty person is between 60 to 100 beats per minute..

acutally, pulse rate is only one of the factors.. there are other vital signs to determine a healthy heart, like the BP..

to get an all clear sign, you may want to go for some intensive tests or scans.. they are all non-invasive procedures..
