Has anyone been there...What's it like? Is it worth going? Is it expensive to stay ther? What's the food like etc. Thanks for looking in.

Yes. Its a very nice resort that has a wonderful view on the bay.
The old town in Chania is really nice too. But there are many other places and beaches to visit around. So, I suggest you do rent a car...
