once you are past 12 weeks (out of the first trimester) the chances are greatly reduced.

I heard 12 wks but I also read of women that have misc at 20wks
that scared me, because I am actually 7 wks and had 3miscarriages in the pass
so I am holding my breath and waiting with hope that I will get to 9 months

ive had 2 mcs, it improves a lot after 9 weeks when vital development is over and even more after 12 weeks, try not to worry thohgh x good luck

They say the chances of miscarriage greatly improve in the second trimester. So after your 12th week, you should feel very confindent. Also, after finding a heart beat your chances of miscarriage drop 85%. I know this because I just had a miscarriage, which we discovered when there was no heart beat at 10 weeks. So ive been researching for next time around. Im sure you will be fine, please dont worry about it. If you can get the heart beat, you will be set!! Best of luck to you.

hi there.miscarriages can happen until 20 weeks.after the first 12 weeks the chance of miscarriage gets reduced..only 9 days ago i sadly miscarried after ttc for 18 months and i had only known one day i was pregnant.was 2 days of 6 weeks pregnant.all my advice is take things easy.dont stress and dont take a chance on anythin.ur baby is too precious..all the best and enjoy ur pregnancy....xx

12 weeks is generally the point at which people tell friends/family, as that is regarded as the 'safe' point (safer than really early, anyway).

Do you mean when do the chances decrease in having a misscarriage?? anytime in your first trimester ( first 3 mo ) it is a possibility and the chance is high... they say that once you hear the babies heart beat for the first time...those chances drop drastically...and once you get in to the 2nd trimester it is even lower... but for the first three mo.. all it is is worries hoping everything goes well...

i've had three children, they say after 12 weeks the risk of miscarrying is very small....
the first 12 weeks are the most important where you need to look after yourself and be careful not to strain/lift heavy objects etc..
