i take orlistate one hree times a day...only available on prescription in the uk...dont know about overseas...sorry

I think it has to be prescribed by a doctor who will monitor you while you are taking it because there can be side affects. You also can't take much fat in your diet and not everyone can take them. I tried to get them, but my doctor said they would not suit me.

In the UK Orlistat is only available on prescription. You will need your weight and blood pressure monitoring at regular intervals. The GP's in the practice where I work like to see some weight loss prior to prescribing. That's to prove that you're serious about losing weight and are not using the orlistat as a "magic wand".

I think that is the new FDA approved weight loss Alli........you can buy it at drugstores starting June 15th over the counter without a prescription
