How do I get printer cartridge ink off of my hands? Serious answers people!?

Question

Been refilling my ink cartridges, and now have green blue black red and yellow hands here, its not a good look!!! I've already tried scrubbing, scrubbing with soap, washing up liquid, white spirit (turps), that mixed with soap, nail varnish. any ideas people? xx

Time is the only way to do this. Ink from the printer is like ink from a permanent marker. Please take note of the word PERMANENT. It will fade with time, washing and as your skin regenerates. Bleach may help to lighten the color but you will not be happy with the dry hands afterwards. I don't recommend it, but do a test patch first and see how the spot reacts for a few hours before trying to wash/soak your hands in it if you have to. It depends on if the ink is color fast ink or not if the bleach will work.

Nothing worked in the end apart from a pumice stone in the shower the morning after, I just liked the bit about rainbow hands lol thanks! x

he best thing to do is soak them in real hot water for as long as u can, and then put rubber gloves on to start sweating and it should work. xx

Now you know to wear gloves to protect your hands. Did you try bleach? You didn't mention that. Don't mix any other cleaners with it except dish or laundry soap.

Its not really ink it is dye, I have used a product called goof off and also I used warm water with dish soap and a green scrubbing type pad.. and time as it isnt coming off easy or fast!

White spirits, if you have none household bleach but either way wassh your hands thouroughly afterwards

Petrol, it also removes gloss paint from carpet and grease from clothes, hands etc.

Nothing to worry about.

Kerosene works. So does WD40. In fact, I recommend WD40. Available at any hardware store. Spray it on, wait a minute or so and wash with water.

Wash again with soap and water to get rid of the WD40 scent.

Try milk if not vinigar or juice from a lemon.

some chemicals can cause dermatitis so you have to be carefull i have used washing liquid with some sugar tipped in to it and then scrub with a nail brush (once you have dermatitis it can re-occur and it isnt nice)

try some rubbing alcohol or those prep alcohol pads from the hospitals

take some really gritty soap or face wash to your hands.

if that doesn't do it, you just need to wait til it comes off on it's own.
