Anyone used Lastminute.com for Hotels?

Question

The hotel is a Holiday Inn, Wheat Ridge (United States). The price booking it straight from them is £670 and from lastminute.com is £612.

I just wondered what people's experiences of lastminute.com were and if there was any added hassle is it worth the £60 you'll save?

Also once you arrive are the staff still as you would expect them to be since you didn't book directly with them?

I have used them many times .I never book with travel agents etc now .. I just do my groundwork on here (Internet ) and save pounds .
The staff are just the same .. They know they can't sell all their rooms directly so pass them on to sites like last minute .
Have a good break .

If all goes well, it's fine. If you have a problem, it takes hours to get someone on the phone!

I recently booked my hotel in Dubai with Lastminute.com, and like you, I got it cheaper than going direct.

There was no difference at all in the service, I was a bit wary that they might not have a record of my booking, but as hoped, the hotel was expecting us.

I would definitely recommend booking with lastminute.com

We've just used Lastminute.com for our honeymoon, very helpful people but one thing you need to be wary of is any hidden costs, our holiday was advertised at £550 each but ended up paying £712 each due to transfers and taxes.
I would advise ringing up for a TOTAL price rather than taking the advertised internet price as red.
