Interested in spending weekend in York?

My wife is disabled and uses a wheelchair. How wheelchair friendly is York. Not just city centre, like Birmingham, but throughout the city. Also could you recommend w/chair friendly but inexpensive hotels/ guesthouses. Thanks for your help.

Have a look at this site Disabled Go give lots of information for disabled people visiting York. Site also lists disabled friendly hotels.

For other information on York have a look at the York Tourism site.

York is a wonderful place and I am sure you will like it although some of the area near the Minster can get very crowded.
