Citalopram and alcohol?

Can I drink while taking citalopram, cause I am going to a party next week and would like to have a drink?

The combination of citalopram and alcohol is not advisable. However clinical studies have revealed no adverse pharmacodynamic interactions between citalopram and alcohol.

No. I am on it as well, and you can't drink while taking it. I think you should definitely talk to a pharmacist, they are more than willing to answer any questions you may have.

It's not advisable. Alcohol is a depressant so will cancel out any benefit of taking an antidepressant.
