It's great. I buy mine on-line as my BMI is 29 (it needs to be 30 or over to get it from your It stops you absorbing 33% of the fat you eat. I lost nearly a stone in a month and I wasn't really trying.

The problem is it's easy to get lazy and eat more thinking 'Xenical will take care of it'. So if you massively increase the amount you eat you can still gain weight.

In the first few weeks you may find the oil you poo out is unpredictable. I've involuntarily 'oiled myself' in my sleep and in Tescos. Things did settle down really quickly though.

The oil you poo out is like bright orange olive oil, so it's quite difficult to flush away. If you take Xenical I recommend a large supply of Toilet Duck. xxx

I used Xenical a few years ago when it first came out. I did it for 2 months with no weight loss. The gross, oily diarrhea that you have no control over is a major side effect. You will need to wear some kind of pad to avoid messing your pants, but people around you can still smell it. BEWARE!

Got them on prescription from my doc. Lost approx 10lbs in 3 months but i also included a daily walk of 30mins and watched everything that i put in my mouth. Stopped taking them because of the unwanted side effects.
SIDE EFFECTS: If you eat anything with an ounce of fat in it you get a lovely orange oily anal discharge which can be very embarrassing and is hard to wash off your clothes.
    Sleep disturbances.

The best advice i can give you is to make minor adjustments to your diet and do 30mins of regular excercise everyday.
I went on to loose another 20lbs myself by doing this. Took about 4 months.

they were recommended to my mum by her GP and they were good in the sense that they block the fat from being absorbed by your body, instead it comes out in form of oil when you go toilet. to be honest when my mum was on it she did not really lose any weight but that could have been because she didn follow the diet that came with eat it. the good thing is you could eat anything and take them and the fat would just come of it and not get stored by ur body. but you would still need to exercise to get rid of the fat already present in your body.

Of all the 'slimming pills' available it is undoubtedly the safest, since it is not systemically or neurologically active. It also scores well at producing sustained and maintained weight loss and is the only diet drug ever, to be given a long term maintenance licence. Currently it is prescription only, but I am aware that the manufacurers have started the process of applying to become over the counter, (this takes about 2 years if successfull.)

Now the bad news it only really works in conjunction with a low fat, reduced calorie diet, ideally with regular exercise!

As far as weight loss is concerned I will give my stock answer I am afraid, however it is interesting to see how close this is ( I have been using it for over 2 months), to a recent paper from University of California. They did a meta-analysis of all the work on weight loss over the past few years. ( summary) It showed that 2/3 of people who diet yo-yo to a higher weight, none of the faddy diets of diet pills work and that rapid weight loss doubles heart attack risk!

They seemed to suggest the only hope was modest calorie reduction + EXERCISE.

This is a news report of the article:

I have to admit I have a 'stock' answer for this question, since if you look it appears 20-30 times every day!!!

Type 'guaranteed weight loss' into google, you will find 1 1/2 million sites!

Look around you if ANY of these things worked would we be getting so overweight?

We are what we eat, but we are at least as much what we don't do. Calorie intakes in 1900 and 1950 were higher than they are now, we just don't use them up!

Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruit and veg. Drop to about 1,500 calories.

Take a healthy amount of exercise 30-40 minutes of vigorous exercise per day 4-5 days a week. I hate to think what percentage of the UK population does that 2%? 5%?

I have seen hundreds of questions with this same pattern :- I am fat, tell me where on line I can get this super diet or herbal/dangerous/illegal drug that I hear will fix it for me in 10 minutes without the need for me to get off the couch!

No fixes pal , less in more out, its the only way
