Any ideas - hotels in Sliema, Malta?

Question

Thinking about staying at the Hotel Roma in Sliema, Malta. Anyone been there or other recommendations for hotels there?

Get the Lonely Planet guide to Malta & Gozo - they have endless accom sites aswell as write ups on the hotels. I stayed in Sliema on the waterfront just off where the boats are moored and it was fab, just so convenient and a vibrant mix of culture, eateries etc. Hotel Roma has a great write up in LP I believe. Valleta is also a good base, especially for all the bus connections. Gozo is slightly cheaper & wonderfully small but beautiful. Get on Amazon and buy a cheapy LP, its def worth it.

Already looked at Trip Advisor and researched plenty on all the Sliema hotels but hadn't thought of the Lonely Planet guide - thanks!

I've not been there but know of a really good website for hotel reviews: www.tripadvisor.co.uk (or it might be .com) - you can type in the hotel name or the area and it give honest reviews from people who have actually stayed at the hotels. It's very good and we now always use it for family holidays. Good luck - I hope you find a wonderful hotel!
