COOK ISLANDS... do's and really don't s???

Question

how would you rate them? what should i do there? what hotels? anything i should DEFINATELY see or do? or anything i should AVOID?? i will be 18 years old when i travel there so please keep that in mind if your picking clubs, etc. : ) any info is greatly appreciated. and if you think there is a better place to travel to in that area that let me know!

yes i am actually going on an around the world trip and i was hoping that somewhere southeast of southeast asia would be one of my last stops on my journey in answer to your questions ruhtrachi-- i am trying to get specific answers on specific places so that i can narrow my search.

you should ask questions like this on the Lonely Planet Thorntree travellers forum. It's the biggest travel forum on the net with hundreds of thousands of registered members, and you're sure to get very good information...

Going to the Cook Islands you need to do research into the sensitivity of their culture. Having worked in a school in New Zealand where there were many students of Cook Island origin I can assure you they are very proud of the way they live.

You should never go to a country like this without conducting & developing your OWN understanding of the culture, which is more necessary than worrying about suitable clubs to visit.
