Consideration in Law of Contract?

Is it true that in Contract Act, considersation need not to move to other but for Malaysian Law it does.. Any relevant case ?

In Malaysian Law, it is possible by referring to Section 2 (d) of Contract Act; "when at the desire of the promisor, the promisee or any other person..." and based on case Venkata Chinnaya v. Verikatara Maya, whereas in English Law, consideration need not to move to somebody else other than the promisee.
