I'm looking up hotel addresses and some say they are in the centre of hall brook saalbach but i cant find hall brook on any map

No, I never heard "hall brook" before but I'm thinking it means the village Saalbach itself.

Saal = hall
Bach = brook

never mind - hall brook means the same - it's a word by word translation.
come to salzburg - we know that it's better not to translate the name of our villages or town ;)
