What type of carbourator is the best to replace a '89 TBI on a 305 chevrolet?

I'd like to remove the original unit and replace it with an ordinary 2 or 4 barrel carb. What's my best option?

I prefer Carter/Edelbrock carbs to Holley myself. Carter/Edelbrock are the same carb...manufactured by Weber. Buy the Carter because if you buy Edelbrock you're paying more for the name. Since your engine is a 305 forget the high CFM models and stick with the 500 CFM range unless of course you have lots of cam and headers in which case you can go more CFM. Stock applications with your smaller small block dictate smaller CFM carbs.
