Yes you can as long as you don't drink so much that you puke the tablets back up. As the person above said Antibiotics are generally safe with the alcohol with the exception of a couple (Particularly metronidazole) which will make you very unwell.

Very few antibiotics advise non-alcohol consumption. The main ones are the ones for urinary infections as the alcohol will dehydrate you, where you should actually be consuming large amounts of water etc. I presume you are taking the Amoxicillin for a chest infection as i've just finished a course of same, and a couple of wee drams did'nt affect me in any way. To be on the safe side moderation as with everything.

The above answer is wrong. Yes you can indeed and it will NOT affect the effectiveness of the Amoxicillin. However, it WILL give you intestinal difficulties such as bad gas and possibly even diarrhea. It's not a good idea because of the discomfort, but if you want to it won't keep the antibiotic from working.

It's never a good idea to mix alcohol with any medication as you don't know how it will effect you. It could put you in a hospital in which I am sure you wouldn't want. If you feel like you want to drink alcohol, please please dont' take any medication for the day, jsut to make sure you have no medicine in your system. Take care of yourself.

in theory, if you are taking antibiotics, your immune system is already comprimised due to an infection. Alcohol would further comprimise your immune system. You should not drink alcohol while taking antibiotics. That being said, there is no listed affect for combining, it is just not recommended for amoxicillin and alcohol. remember that each antibiotic is different.

yes you can, flucloxicillin (Spelling?) is quite nasty though, even 24 hour after last dose!!

it depends on the miligrams, if it is a small amount then yes, the worse it could do is make you throw-up, if it is a large amt, then you have that plus the meds., won't work so why take them if you are going to drink and watch out you may get tired quickly

you should never drink alcohol on any antibiotic.. it can cause the medicine to not work as effectively and you may feel excessively drunk for less alcohol.

no i did and i couldnt stop pucking after two vodkas and coked so be awre but it might not affect u like that but it also stops the antibiotic working hope u get better soon lolx
