Cool things to do in and around Exeter?

10 brucey bonus points to the person with the best idea of what I should get up to in Exeter this weekend.

Staying at the gorgeous Hotel Barcelona so evenings are taken care of, but looking for something fun/different to keep us entertained during the daytime.

Doesn't have to be in Exeter but would be better so neither of us have to drive.

Thanks, J x

Saturday has got to be shopping spree in city centre, include a visit to the cathedral and underground passages. Sunday get a train to Torquay seafront, visit the harbour and Living Coasts where you can:-

Walk with the animals at Living Coasts, Torquay"s Coastal Zoo. Catch the free ranging penguins at Living Coasts and a whole lot more. There"s a fantastic range of coastal creatures from the playful fur seals and the colourful puffins to the elegant wading birds and spectacular sea ducks. Birds fly freely overhead while you explore sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and a peaceful estuary. Next, try underwater viewing areas to see the seals and diving birds at their
best. Remember to catch some of the informative and fun feeding time talks....check their website, have fun whatever you decide.Train journey, a very picturesque one by the coastline takes about 40 minutes.

Thanks for all the [sensible] answers - had a great weekend. Didn't actually see much of Exeter itself but made it to Living Coasts, and loved it!
